First clue 0:07 THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM WAS PRE-RECORDED. OK, so his Live Wednesday was recorded and played on Thursday, apparently?
0:43 clears it up, when the announcer says "Tonight October 18, although it's ACTUALLY October 19th 1978. LIVE, well actually ON TAPE from NBC Studios in Burbank.
There is a LOT of confusion this week during the prime time NBC TV listings across the USA, so I'm researching this now. Your recording of this helps a LOT!
